Pushing this out regarding MFJ.again for some. Seems they are improving..
Radio folks:
Our joint advertising venture with MFJ continues to grow and we launched a
new campaign on QRZ today. MFJ now dominates QRZ with our exclusive ad space
on the top left of every page, and at the bottom of the call sign look up.
We have 8 ad groups that advertise their 4 major brands (MFJ, Ameritron,
Hy-Gain, Cushcraft), and then 4 product categories for MFJ (auto-tuners,
manual tuners, SWR meters, and power supplies).
MFJ is still taking 2 to 4 weeks to fill our orders, but we're doing a
better job of forecasting for that and I think you'll notice that fewer
popular items will be running out of stock.
Ameritron is still struggling to keep up with demand. They expanded their
manufacturing operation at the Ameritron facility, but it wasn't enough. The
response to the new ALS-1306 was huge and they're doing all they can to
catch up with those orders as well as build their other products. All
dealers are in the same boat, so a customer's best bet is to place their
order with us and we'll get it to them as soon as possible.but it could be a
while if it's not currently in stock.
When Mr. Jue and several of his key employees came to visit us in April,
they shared that they are still struggling to hire and retain good
technicians, especially those who do repairs and tech support. They feel
like the candidate pool in Mississippi is pretty shallow. We helped them
develop a plan to employ good phone support as remote workers and they
already have at least one person working the phones from another state. I'm
hopeful they'll continue to grow that program so they can free their on-site
technicians up to turn around warranty repairs faster.
If you have any customers complain about the wait time on Ameritron or on
the popular MFJ-939, you can assure them we're doing everything possible to
reduce the wait time on those items and it's simply due to an usually high
demand for some key products.
We're investing a lot into improving our MFJ sales and our relationship with
MFJ and we want to make sure we're doing everything we can to close sales on
MFJ products when a customer expresses a need or an interest.
