Subject: Re: [SJDXA] Sunday cleanup Task/Matl. List All work completed. Many thanks to the SJDXA members who came out to help. The shack looks the best it has in years. Also special thanks to Steve (KI4 something) he jumped in with both feet, helping us out at the transmit antennas and beverage antennas, without him we'd probably still be out there. For the GD160 Team73Marty, W2CG From: "John Crovelli" <w2gd at hotmail.com>

So everyone is on the same page, below is a suggested work plan for Sunday. K2TW, KU2C, W2CG and W2NO from the CW Team plan to attend.

Thanks for your help. GD

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++At Marty's request I've put together this list of work items for Sunday:

SOMEONE - PSE print this out for use as a checklist.

TASKS to be COMPLETED Sunday:

NOTE: All coax cables are to be rolled up HAND over HAND.

Everyone should bring hand tools - a knife, wire cutter, pliers, tape, screw drivers, etc.

1. DONE Someone climbs the tower to detach the RG8X cables where they are affixed at about 80 or 90 feet and taped down along the tower.

2. DONE Drop SW sloper FIRST. Roll up and label pull away rope used at far end.

3. Drop delta loop and NE sloper. Roll up and label rope used at far end. Also label ropes used at each corner of the delta loop.

LABEL the two hardline connectors (SW and NE) and weatherproof them with both rubber and vinyl tape. Secure ends where appropriate.

4. Install two new screw in anchors for anchoring the ropes on each side of tower.

5. Roll up and label sloper RG8X feedlines (be sure they are labeled SW and NE for later examination/repair).

6. Beverages: Retrieve all 9:1 transformers. Tape end of beverage and ground wires. Roll up each coax run and clearly label which beverage the feedlines belong to.

NOTE: Label each cable inside the two gray elevated bulkhead boxes as beverage coax cables are detached to facilitate cabling next fall without having to trace cables.

7. HI-Z 4 antenna: Roll up and label RG6 feedline (I believe it has a splice so this cable it can be split into two pieces). Roll up CAT 4 control line. Retrieve all matching components, labeling the preamps for each element. Suggest leaving elements installed in woods.....but they can be removed and stored by shed if it makes better sense.

8. Consider leaving the 160M dipole hung along driveway in place but at a minimum remove, label and store the feedline.

9. Retrieve tuner at Inverted L, remove and store 4:1 unun transformer, tape connector, roll up and label feedline. W2CG - please bring tuner home with you.....it's mine.

MARTY: Materials to purchase and bring to site on Sunday:

2 Large Plastic Storage Tubs with latching lids to store transformers, HI Z antenna components and loose ropes.2 or 3 rolls of WHITE Scotch 33 grade tape for labelingSharpies for labeling3 or 4 rolls of Scotch 33 Tape for weatherproofing and securing cable rolls.

There are two new screw in anchors on-site. A bar of some kind will be needed to screw them in.

PSE STORE ALL 160M ANTENNA MATERIALS on and/or along the LEFT SIDE WALL inside the SHED.

Subject: [SJDXA] Sunday cleanup Tomorrow (Sunday) will be site cleanup day. Yesterday N2HM and I cut the feedlines from tower so no climbing will be required. Still will need to drop the northeast and roll up then seal coax ends. W2CG and KU2C will be down from the cw team. Maybe others? W2GD will not be coming. I will be there.Primary jobs will be rolling up beverage coax and the slopers. Cleaning up and stowing inside gear and cables. It might be nice to see what failed on the SW if we have time. If we have enough people, we can also cleanup the shed and shack. Start time will be 9am. All hands on deck. 73.
