[SJDXA] JY1 Logs and QSLs

SJDXA members,

I have a special treat for members who attend the next meeting!

Last week, I ventured down to Maryland with Urb W1UL to meet up with Fred Laun K3ZO to pick up the JY1 logs (King Hussein). JY1 became “SK” in 1999.

These logs are a combination of originals and faxes sent to MaryAnn Crider WA3HUP who was the King’s QSL Manager for many years. Mary Ann had to retire from QSL manager duties due to health issues and asked me to take over and preserve these logs. She first had passed them off to her good friend Fred K3ZO who had the logs scanned and shared with K8CX for online preservation (ham gallery).

I will bring these logs to the Wednesday meeting along with one of each of his QSL cards for you to look at.

If any of you worked him over the years, bring your log data!  😊
