Over 30 years ago, I started using in-line 8-pin connectors (aka octal sockets/plugs) to provide a quick way to connect/disconnect my rotator cable inside my house (after the lightning protector). Since they don't need to be water-proof, they have worked fine and are easy to solder to. I intend to keep using them with my rotator. However, I now plan on installing a Top-Ten antenna switch outside and need something I can also quickly connect/disconnect (also inside the house after the lightning protector). I can only find 8-pin male and 11-pin male in-line connectors in my junk box.
What connectors do you use to provide a quick disconnect for rotator and other control cables?
Tnx,
Gerry, W1GD
