On June 19, 2014 from West Creek, W2WSC will participate with its sister
station in Eilvese, Germany in an on-the air event to commentate the
opening of the Eilvese station. The event will commemorate 100 years of the
Goldschmidt stations in the US and Germany. June 19th marks an official
visit by Kaiser Wilhelm II to the Eilvese station and an exchange of
message between Tuckerton and Eilvese.

The Goldschmidt installations in Tuckerton and Eilvese were nearly identical
stations and are considered to be the most powerful stations in the world at
that time, capable of reliable transatlantic communication. President
Wilson and the Kaiser had exchanged greetings through these two stations
during 1914. Prior to US entry in WWI in 1917, Tuckerton and Eivese
provided the sole transatlantic communications link to Europe.

Bob, N2HM AND W2USF will operate W2WSC/WSC from 1200Z to 1600z (8:00AM to
12:00PM on June 19th , 14.313 and 14.035Mhz. The PRIMARY German station CALL
IS DK0MC (OP Arno), with DL9XP, DK0SM, DL0NRU, DL3WK, DL6OCH, DL2GC and my
good friend Fritz, DK3OW.

SJDXA and OBARC are invited to join us at West Creek. Members may use the
W2WSC/100 from their home station on the June 19th at the time mentioned
above, but you must contact W2USF in advance if you intend to operate from
home. An electronic log is required is ADI format!

Please contact w2usf at comcast.net <mailto:w2usf at comcast.net> if you plan to
operate at West Creek or plan to operate from home with W2WSC/100.

2014 WILL BE THE LAST YEAR OF THE 100 YEARS OF THE TUCKERTON WIRELESS
OPERATIONS.
