Subject: [NJDXA-L] New Jersey W1AW/2 operation in August

Hi All,

For those living in NJ, here is the information on how to participate and operate W1AW/2 from your home station in August. There are still many band slots available to work in various modes.

Any questions please contact Darrell, AB2E.

------------------------------------------

Hello everyone,

You are receiving this e-mail because either you participated in the April W1AW/2, or have expressed an interest in participating in the August edition. Here is some basic information that you will need to know:

1. Dates: Tuesday Night August 5th, 8PM through Tuesday evening August 12th at 7:59PM.

2. Bands and modes: All bands and modes, except 60M

3. Logging software: Any software capable of generating a .ADI file. Examples: N1MM (DX-pedition module), Write-Log, CT-WIN,Win-test; etc.. Do not use N3FJP or SD

-logger or your daily logging program.

4. For the first few days, it is suggested that you operate SPLIT if you are not used to big pile-ups; Please do not use your RIT for tuning.

5.Operate in the general portions of the bands; taking special care to be far enough away from other W1AW/X stations active that week (make sure your listening

frequency does not cause them, or any nets, or any other qsos QRM)

6. Avoid frequency fights, nets, deliberate QRM, etc. We will qsy !!!

7. Make sure there are no other W1AW/2 stations operating on the same band and mode as you...Check the speadsheet first.

8. Announce on the cluster where you are transmitting and listening.

9.This is not a contest ! We work everyone including dupes. Make very sure you copy the call correctly!

10. Please avoid participating from home if you are only QRP, or running low power to wire antennas that have no gain. We need to be heard. Join a multi-op station. If

you would like, my station is available 24/7 for the entire week, as are a number of others through out the state. Ask the members of your club.

How to use the Spreadsheet

1. You will need to establish a Google Chrome account to be able to edit the spreadsheet! If you need help, please e-mail me:

3. Access the link. Type in your call in the band, time, and mode that you want to operate.

4. Very Important: Press SHARE....then press DONE.

5. Should you change your mind later, or if your schedule changes and you need to edit your choice , just go to the spread sheet, make the

changes and don't forget to press SHARE....then press DONE.
