We discussed this some time ago. I'm going to drop my K3 off with Arnie W2OB who will bring it to the club house and setup for the contest. I think I saved a copy of the K3 config file used last year, when I visit my shore home later this week where the radio is located I will check the Elecraft backup folder for it and if there I will re install it before dropping the K3 off at Arnie's sometime next week. A few things I need to know.
1. do I need to bring a power supply?
2. Do I need to bring a Mic and or headset?
Last year I just brought the K3 with a suitable power cord. Let me know...
I plan on operating both Saturday and Sunday morning and take my K3 back with me when we shut down.

Subject: [SJDXA] 160 m contest
Good morning all,
The 160m CQWW SSB contest is quickly approaching. We need to find out what rigs we will have to operate. I will have my IC-725 for the slave station. We have the SJDXA FT-1000 also. Do we still have a K-3 available for us to use? Bob W2ARP, do you know anything about this? Just trying to get an idea so we know if we will need to obtain a rig. Also if possible, I would like to start taking a tentative head count of operators. I will be good for friday overnight and possibly saturday overnight. We will need operators for all parts of the day.
Thank You,
Chuck, W2CCW
