[SJDXA] Monday at the site

SJDXA members,

There will be a few folks at the site tomorrow. It is my understanding that
ARP and UBG will be there with GD, HM and KU2C at about 10:30.

John says that will be enough people for tomorrow's work.

Set up will be this Friday and I will let you know if any assistance is
needed, but as of right now I think they have everything under control.

 

PS: I want to thank DaNO W2NO for repairing/testing all of our rotor
controllers. They all WORK and are available for our future projects, or for
loan to any SJDXA member who needs to borrow one.

Also, I discovered that our "swapped out" TailTwister rotor is "sticking".
So, it looks like our problem just might be the cable. Although it might
have a broken wire, or water intrusion. It also just could be that it is too
long and might need to be upgraded. DaNO said a cap can be replaced to give
us a little more ooompf. So, we can talk with him about doing that
modification on one of the spares?

 

Also, we did locate our NEW 6 meter yagi. It is right behind the shack door
still in it's box never opened.

 

Does ANYONE know if we ever picked up the 2 meter beam from K2SG? I cannot
remember what ever did or did not happen with that antenna. Nobody has seen
it at the site so just curious.
