SJDXA members,
I would LOVE to collect your memories from any special contest related stuff
to put together in my overview of the contest.
Please send to me as soon as you can. Even if it is only a short sentence.
I want to congratulate you all this year! What a special contest this was!
I was proud to see that all of our regular operators had really improved
their skills to the point where you all knew what to do, and how to do it.
It made THIS contest very special! We have become a highly skilled phone
contest team!
What made it extra special was that everyone seemed to know their skills,
and where to use them.
Yes, we still need some improvement. Always. But this was by far the best
team effort we have had in the 10 years that we have been doing the CQWW 160
SSB contest!
Yes! GREAT JOB!
I will put out stats later, but as of right now, this was the highest score
we ever had, and what makes it even more special is that we all know that
conditions were not that special. So, to do this under THESE conditions
really tells the story!
CONGRATS and feel proud for what you accomplished! Now, let's HOPE that we
won!
So far, it looks good. Nobody else has posted a score even close to ours in
the multi-op category North America..
Jerry, WB9Z posted a higher score, but as a single-op. He had 450 QSO's MORE
than us, 9 fewer DX but 3 more S/P's mults. Being in the Midwest helped him
pick up the extra 3 s/p mults by being closer to them (probably NV, WY, VE5)
but I'll ask him later. It also helped him pile up the QSO's as he did not
have the Atlantic Ocean to his east like we do.
See ya' in the Pileups!
73!
