SJDXA MEMBERS:

PLEASE READ:

At tonight's SJDXA meeting, in attendance were N2OO, W2USF, K2RET and W2CCW.

We discussed our contest operation and scheduling.

Those who are able: We will be meeting at the site at about 10:00 AM on
FRIDAY morning for set up.

THE contest starts at 2200 UTC! (That's 5 PM!) so we need to be ready by
that time.

Operating time: This contest is 48 hours long and starts at 2200Z. Single
operator stations may only operate 30 out of the 48 hours. Multi-Operator
stations may operate 40 hours. Off times must be a minimum of 30 minutes in
length for all categories.

There should not be much to do outside. But if there is, it looks like we
will have good weather. If any antenna work is needed, please BRING YOUR
BOOTS and outdoor wear!

I operated from the site last weekend and everything seemed to be in working
order, so I do not anticipate any serious issues.

Marty W2CG will be coming to help set up computers and radios etc.

This is our primary club function every year and I hope that all members
will make an effort to participate, or at least visit.

We need someone who can do a Costco/BJ's run for supplies. I have an ankle
issue right now and have it in a soft cast with orders to stay off it as
much as possible. Sorry. Any volunteers?

PLEASE if you did not tell me yet, if and when you will be at the site to
operate so I can get an idea of our ability to operate. As usual, overnight
is the hardest shift. So, let me know.

RULES can be found here:

http://cq160.com/rules.htm

The new deadline for log submissions is 5 days from the end of the contest.

For CW this is 2200z Feb 1, 2013.

For SSB this is 2200z Mar 1, 2013.

So, we must submit quickly.

MORE TO COME

See ya' in the Pileups!
