SJDXA members;

As you all know, the WYRS site endured some damage from Hurricane Sandy.

Fortunately, the damage was not severe. Just very "annoying".

Several OBARC and SJDXA members (and other friends of HM) have put some time
in helping Bob secure the "new" temporary doghouse. The tower lights have
been restored! This was (as you know) important to get done first.

Other things that need attention will be the hot water heater, emptying the
crawlspace and inspecting everything for damage, removing damp/wet
insulation from the crawlspace, Airing out and inspecting the contents of
the "clubs" shed, helping Bob with any problems in the WYRS shed, and many
other things I am sure.

Everyone is busy I am sure of that. (Me too)

But if you have any spare time and you want to help Bob out, PLEASE give him
a call and talk with him about what you can do to help out.

If anyone might be available to help Bob N2HM at the WYRS West Creek site,
please call him either on his home phone 609-597-8089.

Or

on his cell 609-618-7605 to make arrangements.

We will also be helping the W2GD crew with repairs to the 160 antenna farm.
As soon as we hear of a date/time, I am sure that John will post something
here looking for some extra help.

I do not believe that they will be doing the ARRL 160 CW this year as far as
I know, but that could change I suppose. I think that they are aiming at the
Stew Perry later in December for their first one, and hoping for the big
CQWW 160 CW at the end of January. And, of course we will be doing the CQWW
160 SSB the end of February as usual if all goes well with their antenna
setup.

Also, as I have always tried to mention at this time of year, if you are
considering any tax deductible contributions, you could always send
something to WYRS.

Check out the website at:

www.wyrs.org for info on how you can donate.

See ya' in the Pileups!

73!
