Hours: 37
Score: 990,592 points

Conditions seemed about average to EU this weekend but there was pronounced
sunrise enhancement both nights. No Qrn at all. Second night signals
seemed to suffer from more QSB and were not nearly as strong, especially
from the west. Not much propagaton to the west/northwest except KH6 this
weekend. Some interesting contacts included RI8ANF, 5N7M, EA9EU, CE1, 7Z1,
TA2, 4U1ITU......and a few others. Heard several multipers we could not
work or they just didn't answer our CQs. Sometimes it just takes luck.
It took us six work parties over two months to repair the site damage
sustained during Hurricane Sandy. We enjoyed the results of our efforts
this weekend, but even mid-contest, repairs had to be made. A fluctuating
SWR condition had us wondering if the TX antenna system would fail sometime
this weekend (it didn't thankfully).
When all was said and done this, we find ourselves in a statistical tie with
the K1LZ multi-op team tonight. Our scores are miniscule 8/10s of one
percent apart so the winner will be determined by the log checkers. The
CQ160 CW is arguably the most competive multi-op event in all of contesting.
It was terrific to hear so many FRCers hitting it hard on 160M this weekend
..... and to see the sizeable scores posted on 3830.
Don't forget, LOGS ARE DUE THIS FRIDAY!
We thank the members of the SJDXA who worked with us to restore the site and
antennas, and the owners of WYRS-FM who continue to make the site available
for 160 meter events each winter.
Now......on to ARRL DX CW AND PH!
73,
John, W2GD for the 160 TEAM
See ya' in the Pileups!
73!
