I snagged BX5AA (Taiwan) On 10 meters last night @ 2338Z.

What's remarkable is that the beam heading with greatest signal
was 22 deg!! I heard him (55 to 58) from 180 to 10 deg. Short
path from Tuckerton is 344 (he was hardly audible) and long path 164 deg
(audible but didn't hear me). I turned the beam toward north and when his signal
peaked around 22 deg, I called him. Got him in 3 calls, barefoot.

The moral: If you're looking for the 9N7, VU4, EP4, et al on the higher bands and don't hear them even when they're on the cluster, think outside the box....try other compass directions. If you hear them well, you should get them in the log.

How about a "halo" path or "boomerang"..........sorry about that.
