SJDXA 160 SSB team members!

I want to personally congratulate you on a job WELL DONE this year!

I do not know if we won, but we DID far surpass any previous year’s scores!

Marty W2CG will work on the logs to make sure that they are as good as they
can be. Then we’ll give you more statistics.

For now, we had about 1,140 QSO’s after dupes removed. We probably had a
record number of 10 point QSO’s as well as a record high multiplier count.

Our previous high score was around 400k. This year we will probably be just
under ½ million points.

So, you can see that we kicked butt this year.

Will we win? I have no idea. Probably not, with the K1LZ machine also QRV
this year. But we’ll see.

You all should be proud of the effort! We continue to get better every year!

We have a lot to thankful for this year!

Propagation was excellent.

The CW team with support from SJDXA members “fine tuned” the transmit and
receive antennas, and they ALL WORKED GREAT.

N2OZ loaned us his Alpha 87A (wow, nice) and his FT1000MKV (with a full
complement of roofing filters).

W2CG loaned us his Alpha 78! Marty drove down from Flemington twice for us!

I loaned my K3 which worked extremely well in the run position.

KB2M loaned us his K3, although it developed some “software” issues, it did
work well the first night in the slave position.

SJDXA provided our newly acquired FT1000MKV that backed up in the slave
position.

Running HIGH in the band (1906 the first night and 1945 the second night)
proved to be a huge plus again for us this year! We burned a hole up there
and EU was EASY to hear and work, even when they were in the mud. We would
NOT have heard them down in the fray lower in the band! Often the pile was
2-3 or more deep!

We still have some more learning to do! But, wow! This year was a good one!

More later! But GOOD JOB FOLKS!

See ya' in the Pileups!

73!
