[SJDXA] My overview of the Stew

In retrospect, we did quite better than last year. Not by "score", but by
ability to work what we heard. Conditions last year were exceptional as I
recall. They were not this year. However, we did work EU almost all evening
with little trouble. If we could hear them, we could work them. There were
some we could hear calling but were barely in the noise and not readable.

Overall, we have a superb station setup now. The only real issue is to make
the diversity receive work a little better. The remote vertical just doesn't
work well with the short remote vertical. I will try to go to the site one
evening with my K3 and hook it up to the inverted L instead of the remote
vertical to see how it hears.

John is also correct about our buried mini8 underground coax feeds. We must
replace these and install soldered coax connectors. It might be a very good
idea to build a couple of mini bulkheads and install them inside a protected
box at the far ends of these jumpers. We also need to do this for ONE set of
feeds from the SW corner of the building to behind the shed.

Does anyone have interest in heading this project? (Springtime is OK since
we can use temporaries for the contests now)

See ya' in the Pileups!
