[SJDXA] TS870 sold - funding sought

SJDXA members,

I have just been informed that our TS870 has been sold. It is on its way to
its new owner in NY. We received approximately $1,000 for it and the
matching speaker which was sold separately. We also sold an extra Kenwood
desk microphone for $50.00

As you already know, SJDXA has committed to purchasing a Yaesu FT-1000MP MKV
from a local estate sale for $1400.00

 

We have also received $150 in contributions from a couple of SJDXA members
to go towards the purchase of the Yaesu. We decided to try to upgrade the
shack radio without hitting our treasury by "asking" members to consider
contributing towards the purchase. (No assessment this time). Doing the
math, that means we are still $200.00 short of the purchase price of the
Yaesu.

 

If you would like to chip in, please send a check made out to SJDXA and mail
it to our treasurer Bob Pantazes W2ARP. Any amount would be most welcome.
