If appropriate I guess it doesn't hurt to an send email to a DXpedition. For those who may not know, for the past couple of weeks this small scale DXpedition was working only Europe and Asia, never to be heard on the East Coast. I sent a short email to DK9FN, one of the ops POLITELY bring it to his attention and the next day they showed up on 20 at a good time for the Eastern US. I followed it up with a "Thank you" email and just received the below reply. I finally received an OM verification via LOTW as well this weekend so that made it #331. If I had been a little more (lot more) diligent over the years I wouldn't be chasing some of these not so hard to work countries but then I wouldn't be having all this fun.

Siegfried,
Many thanks for working 20 CW today 10/2/10 at a good time for the East Coast of the US. Today was the first day I was able to hear your signals and was lucky enough to work you for a brand new DXCC country #330.
Best 73 to you and the group
