SJDXA MEMBERS:
Please contact me ASAP regarding the 10 meter contest. Tell me when you will
be participating?
I will be at the site on Saturday all day long.
I need someone to take the helm on Sunday all day long. I will probably make
appearances on Sunday. But for now, can't commit to all day.
K2RET? Can you help on Sunday for us?
I have gotten quite a bit of interest from Old Barney ARC members. They are
waiting for me to announce a timeframe for helping.
I suggest the following:
Friday: Setup for the contest. If I am off, I can be there to help set up.
WHO can be there during the day on Friday?
I guess we will operate each day as long as we have propagation.
How about 7 AM to 7 PM each day?????????????
Do we want to set up 2 rigs? One "run" and one "mult"???
Do we want to set up the OBARC 10 meter beam on the tower trailer for a
second station?
RIGS:
We will use the club's FT1000MKV and the L7 amp for one station.
If we go with a second rig, we will need another radio? It can be hooked up
with the AL-811H.
I will gladly bring my FT450 but I have never used it with an amp. Will have
to look into that. But if someone else has a better radio they are willing
to bring, let me know ASAP.
My thought is to utilize one station on CW and the other on SSB primarily.
Only one can transmit at a time. But I am open to ideas.
We will use the computer systems in place for the contest. The CW team's
gear is in place, so we will have to move it around to accommodate our
setup. But we cannot remove or disconnect any of their gear. (except
computer interface requirements).
Not sure about a logging program. The CW team uses Win TEST and it is
already setup for their setup. We'll see.
WORK PARTY:
Yes, the W2GD CW team will be at the site Saturday to do some work on the NE
beverage system. They might need a hand. (NO W2GD he is out of town. I
expect W2NO, W2CG and W1GD.
See ya' in the Pileups!
73!
