Todd,

How much time do you have ?

Are you good at modifications ?

Do you already have a CB ?

Do you have a CW keyer with a built-in delay
( or a computer with soundcard CW beacon software or FT8 if you prefer ) ?

If yes to most, I'd say go for it.

If not, start looking for an older six meter radio for your beacon radio.

Sounds like a good project !
