Tom If my memory is correct I can remember getting some kind of newsletter from them it wasn't much but that was before the internet became a reality. I believe they were active even up and to the early 80s then I think they went by the wayside like so many other clubs did, that delt with six even 2 meter sideband.

Hello All,
Back in the 70's there was a midwest club named SPESM, Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Six Meters.
Does anyone know if it's this still active?
I've google it and only came up with articles from that time about it.
I was a member, number 187, but haven't heard it mentioned in a long time!
Jog any memories?
I know SMIRK is active, I'm #2074, I found it on the internet but just curious about SPESM.
