Eduardo, sorry to hear about your father. Yes I believe the weather has a 
lot to do with propagation. When the hot air rises it holds the ionized air 
aloft longer until it is a condensed layer. Depending how well it is 
compressed depends what type propagation occurs. Anyway that is how I see 
it, from years of working 6 meters and flying a small plane through the 
lower atmosphere.
