It is with a very sad feeling that I report the passing of Bill Pasternak, WA6ITF of ARNewsline.

Bill and I first met on the phone 40 yrs ago this year (I was a kid of 16 at the time) when he was still writing for 73Magazine (Looking West column) and I spent 4 hours on the phone chatting with him about 6m rptr operations in SE TX (My mom was NOT happy about the phone bill!!)....We went on to keep in contact and work together on Westlink->Newsline (I am the oldest station in Texas)

Bill had been ill for some time....and will be missed by all of us who knew him in amateur radio and especially the Newsline family...I have lost a good and dear friend.

RIP WA6ITF.....
