"I believe" which I always say that means I don't know for sure, BUT
IIRC they used the standard phasing SSB generatoe with the 9 MHz
generator automatically giving the Upper and lower sideband defaults. I
think they used either screen or cathode modulation for AM and a single
6146. So 90W woud be within reach for SSB and CW. Maybe 45W on AM. I
think reported stability is a bit on the optimistic side for that era
and class of rig. "I think" this was before sweep tubes
I emphasize that most of this is a hazy recall mixed with hazy
recollections of how most manufacturers did things. IIRC only the
"Expensive (Collins) and big, heavy (Hallicrafters) rigs used filters,
while most aimed at the rest of us used phasing. I think Collins had a
transverter using a pair of 4CX250s and Hallicrafters came out with one
matching the HT37 later
I'd look at how the circuit layout compares to the HT37 and the external
phasing SSB generators.
Someone, somewhere must have a schematic. Check with the Boat Anchor
groups
But other than guesses...Wish I could help.
