I will yield to Scott.

Go for the domains Joey!

I haven't renewed my membership so I could either do that and you
can take funds from the membership account or I could send you
Paypal to help cover the cost of the two domains.

Not being a contester 6m is a spare-spare time play-band for me
these days but I'm still fond of it and have some plans to run
some DSB-sync-detect experiments on 6m one of these days.

I have a Gonset 6m Communicator (early model with tuning eye)
that I may convert to DSB (with a variable carrier level).

The DSB sync-detect is a huge challenge which will likely require
tapping the RX out to an RTL-SDR dongle then into the PC for
processing.

I sure wish someone could figure out a DSB sync-detector that
uses a small count of pencil and/or sub-miniature tubes. Some
really smart guys tell me it's somewhere between impractical
and impossible with any tubes - even using compactrons
(multiple tubes in one glass enclosure).

I'm thinking they are wrong, I usually do when someone says
"can't" or "impossible" or even "impractical", but I lack the
skills to prove it.

Of course the other challenge is the limited availability of
suitable compactrons. Even if I could build a proof-of-concept
few others could duplicate it. Even if DSB-Sync Detect proved
better than AM or SSB unless the Chinese or the Russians (who
some idiots gave all of our USA manufacturing capacity) started
making them it's a dead-end.

Digital modes require less power and manage rough conditions the
best - but there is something reassuring about a human voice.
