I'm fighting a static problem on a 330 foot broadcast tower.

When the humidity get below 20%, and the wind is blowing, all the  
johnny balls that break up the guy wires arc over and take out $$$  
FETs in the output stage.

We estimate close to half million volts required to arc over.
