Hi Jerry,

I had one of those which they replaced with a real one after just one
year. I'm not even going to try for another.

I just had new 20 gallon tip tanks, solid state position lights and
solid state strobes installed and have never flown it since.

Welll... This time they implanted a defibrillator due to the heart
attack back in August. My left shoulder and a good portion of my chest
is still purple. It hasn't had time to go through the technicolor stages
yet. "They say" in the instructions to start out walking about a 100
feet per day. The day I came home (4 1/2 hours after the surgery) I
made 3 trips to the shop which is 100 feet each way. Typically I put in
between 1000 and 2000 just going out to the shop and back plus the
towers. I am going to move the coax to the AV640 from the remote antenna
switch direct to the feed from the den. Then I'll at least have 40
through 6 on the old 756 Pro in here. It'd be nice to have the
FTDX5000MP in here, but that thing is almost 50# more than they'll let
me lift for the next 6 weeks. That is one big, heavy rig. <:-)) But it
does have 200 watts out on six!

I don't think Joyce could get the old Alpha 76 in here and the Emtron
DX-2sp weighs a lot more than it. That's a 2 man job to move it.

Still light snow coming down, but we only had a couple inches of snow.
20 miles North, West, or South they had 5 to 6 inches. But we can take
heart, I think it's show for 5 of the next 7 days. <:-))

BTW I was in the middle of telling the doc a joke and next thing I knew
I was looking at the ceiling lights back in my room. They told my wife
I was talking but not making any sense. She said, "He does that all the
time anyway so he must be back to normal already"...I wonder if I ever
got to the punch line. I never had it wear off that fast before. It only
took about 5 minutes or less to get back to being alert and making
sense...I think.
