Even know it, it's a funny thing. I proposed 6m 20 years ago for long haul packet transmission and people back then laughed at the idea...with the range of lowbandvhf it made sense...instead of using 220 or higher for backbone, 6 was a better choice for long haul usage
..with GE and Midlands with such good noise blankets, and now cheap on the used market, I am glad to see 50.62 being used for sonething I predicted decades ago...
Now if we can just put a FM/Rptr national plan on 6 right ;)
