In the last couple of years, possibly with the influx of Tech licensees, ANY & ALL good clean 6M gear has commanded top prices in all venues. You want to see insanity, take a look at the FT-726 VHF/UHF rig for which there is a 6M module as an option. The FT-726 is so old you can't find alot of the parts anymore. The base radio goes for $250-300 on average on places like eBAY yet the 6M module, IF YOU CAN FIND ONE, can fetch upwards of $500 USED!!!!!! No way I'm spending that kind of green on a module for a rig that may not work when I install it :( Go try and buy a Commander 1200 6M amplifier. You're looking at nearly ALPHA prices :o

Yes, it's the 10w variety, and the 80w "D" version is certainly the one to get.
I agree, $600 is crazy, but since I'm not looking to buy it, I'll simply remark that it sure is nice to know that legendary 6m gear can hold its value after 30 years and is still prized.
