Many years ago, probably in the 90's I built a converted SB-220 for 6
meters and I loaned it to Frosty with the understanding it would be returned
after the DXpedition ot A2. When he returned from there he never returned
the amp to me. As I recall he said he left it in A2. that was not the deal,
however I figured it might be put to good use??? Some time later I was
contacted by someone in South Africa claiming to have a King Conversions amp
in need of repair. I'm not sure if that was the one I loaned Frosty, but I
couldn't figure out how else one of my amps landed somewhere in Africa.
You can understand my surprise when I was contacted by someone in South
Africa. Although it has been a LONG time I still would like to know what the
fate of that amp was. If anyone who may have gone that year to A2 with the
King Conversions donated amp for the cause, would you please let me know
what happen to it. Thank You....73 Lou _www.kingconversions.com_
