This isn't 6 or VHF DIRECTLY related but want to spread the word in as many
places as possible...the 706MKII I asked about earlier, I have picked up for
my own use! Thanks to all who passed along their info on the VHF remailer.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Selling for a friend of mine (an Extra Class going into assisted
living)...pass it on to others if you aren't interested please! This man
needs all the cash he can get!!!! And we aim to help him (I am donating my
time to certify the equipment as noted below)

Kenwood TR-7950 with mic and mobile mount bracket (quick release)
Astron PS20 PS
TenTec Omni VI PLUS HF transceiver
Ten Tec Centurion (I THINK that's the right spelling) HF linear amp
Ten Tec Desk mic and speaker/PS for the Omni
Ten Tec keyer with built in paddles (model 670 IIRC)
Alpha Delta 4 band dipole (80-40-20-10) and some LMR 400 connecting it to
the OMNI (the OMNI MAY have a built in tuner..there is no external tuner)

(his ICOM 706MKII has already been spoken for and that's off the for sale
list...funny thing is this radio will be used as a remote base and Jack is
getting from me a Midland XTR UHF radio on the ham UHF repeaters around
here...and with his DTMF mic can control the ICOM and have full allband/all
mode from his assisted living location!!! NOW that's enjoying retirement!)

ALL in excellent to MINT condition. ALL gear will be checked and CERTIFIED
with printout by me (using my personal IFR 1500 service monitor w/spectrum
analyzer; calibrated/certified recently by Kurt, the IFR Doctor himself at
www.kgelectronics.com; well my company just spent $8500 on two more IFR1200
Super S models from him..so ;).

Please reply to me direct..prices are still being determined but WILL be
fair market value but WILL consider offers of decent value only.

The new Texas Repeater Association (formerly the Triangle Rptr Assoc)
Look for us soon on 10m and 6m with new GE MSTRIIe repeaters (10 split site
and 6 single site..both at 5-600ft HAAT)
Currently running the highest amateur repeater in the BPT Texas area...444.5
at 610ft AGL...the 706MKII will be our new all band/mode remote base on it..
With two fullwave deltaloops cut for 1.8MHz...and at 90degrees to each other
hanging at 300ft from the tower...single 50ohm point, omni coverage, worse
SWR will be 1.5:1 (we hope) and NO tuner....then Circular Polarized antennas
for 6 and 2 all mode at 100-200ft high (we could go 600 but why be greedy??)
All fed with 7/8 in Heliax....(well the rptr itself is on 1 5/8 Heliax with
split antennas, DB420s and we share with a 3 channel commercial LTR trunker
in the 450-470MHz range.....its great being a paying customer! And with
Internet now at the tower site, along with the new 12KW Generator TRA just
installed, we are fully prepared for anything...unless the tower falls!!!
BUT it rode direct hit from Rita and IKE with NO problems....)
