If the matching network were lossless each doubling would be another 3
db. so if you have an antenna with 16db gain, 2 = 19, 4 = 22, 8 = 25
and 16 = 28 db. So a 100 watt signal would have a bit over 5 doublings
or roughly an ERP of 3200 wats with one antenna. 6400 watts with two ,
12,800 with 4, 25,600 with 8 and 51, 200 with 16. If you actually do
the math it's a bit more than that.
Now as one of those tubes can easily put out 5 KW you'd have 160KW ERP
out of the single antenna. or a tad over 2.6 mega watts ERP.
Some one with more ambition than I could take the formula and work it
out for more precise numbers. <:-))
BTW I have two of those tubes on the shelf along with a pair of
4CX3000A7's and sockets.
