Agree on the Motorola Syntor....there IS a control head upgrade for
it....you can enter freqs from a keypad (home made head) and it talks
directly to the EEPROM....I'll see if I can dig up the URL for it..

I have been running a Syntech II on 6 for 20 years now....wish it was all
mode :)
