I'm home tying a knot in the power mains, but I can still work any one.
I do have a 9500 watt generator that would run most of FD without
refueling, but after having it rebuilt it's putting out low voltage.
Well, that and I don't have it hooked up to power the shop which is on
its own electrical feed. Otherwise I could sit right here in the shack
and operate on generator power. I think I'm going to eventually get one
of the 15 or 20 KW natural gas/LP gas powered ones with the automatic
transfer switch. Much cheaper (and quieter) to run and no worries about
refueling. OTOH it puts out 9KW continuous and uses less gas than the
little 4KW portable I used to have.
