If the band is open that could just work ...
I was considering moving the coax from the ZeroFive 43'
vertical over to the 6m side of the DX-70 just to see
if it did any better than the Comet GP-15.
I jumped in now and then to give folks a number, worked
a VE3, a 7-call in WA, a 1-call in CT, and a 5-call in
TX.
Neither of the coax assemblies arrived in time so there
is temporary junk cable to the 6M and 2m antennas ...
Now if only I could get the main tuning dial to behave ...
