Millermatic 185. I've gone through 3 large spools and 3 full size tanks
of cover gas (Ar/CO2) in the past couple of years.
The photo doesn't show the Miller Spectrum 625 Extreme plasma torch.
They kept trying to sell me one of the "little" self contained
"hobbyist" cutters, but it was darn near as large as the welder and on
wheels and it'd only cut 1/4". I typically end up cutting half inch or
larger and hope the 625 will be large enough The 625 weighs 21# and
comes with a shoulder strap, although I'm unlikely to ever use it like
that. You do have to supply air, but I have an 85 gallon unit so I don't
think that will be a problem.
I think I"m going to add how to make an adapter using the bolt circles
which is actually much faster than the way shown, but not as easy to get
the bolt holes at 90 degrees for the "mechanically challenged".<:-))
Raised the gin pole up to the next section, so as soon as I find a ham
with some spare time the next section is ready to go up. My wife is
willing to help, but isn't big enough to handle the weight. The Weather
channel says it's only 74. My thermometers and weather station say 81
in the shade and that tower work is in the sun. Think I'll wait until
evening.
The "Miller" is cold! <:-))
