I GOTTA get that rotator finished, The 25G finished, AND the 7L Yagi up
to 60' on it. Getting it to 115' on the 45G may be a ways down the
pike. At least I can climb the 40' of 25G with no problem.
Today was the local swap meet. I was up by 6 AM and t here by 7 after
3 hours of sleep. Served as talk in station till about 11:30 and headed
home. (I set the TM-D700 in the car to locked cross band, transmit on
the 440 band with milliwatts and listen to the output of the local
repeater on 147.00. With a headset and PTT I can walk around and look
at *stuff* while still serving as talk in)
So, after sleeping most of the afternoon I made a trip up the 25G to
install another rope and pulleys so the guys on the ground can raise and
lower the gin pole. I just have to guide it. Next step is to cut the
next set of temp guys and attach them to the tower section ready to go
up. The following/last section will have a guy bracket and permanent
Phillystran guys attached.
New rig with 200 watts capable on six, my AV640 struck by lightning and
I'm missing a LOT of openings and DX. <sigh>
Keep those openings coming Joey! They're a strong incentive to get my
antenna work done, even with the Arthritis. <:-))
