Pete Im going to argue with the astetics of my comment as it being common
Its just a path that does exist from time to time
and from your commenst you made it seem like it could and would never
happen
in the past
And if you have been on 6m for 30 years Im sure that you have heard about
the Es
to F2 Hookups in the past that many stations around the country have taken
advantage
of to work some pretty cool stuff
Maybe you were'nt there or had the antenna at the right height etc, but
the
path does exist and I've worked it and have the cards to prove it (here
someplace!)

Next May will mark thirty, (30) years that I've been actively working 6m
DX.

Note, I didn't say Pacific DX NEVER happens, especially from our west
coast. I stick by my remark that it is not COMMON from NORTH AMERICA. (All
points.)
I've worked a good deal of EU from the east coast that California would
consider as rare as JA / VK / ZL from where I live. I'm sure in all of
history, an opening existed from somewhere to everywhere else. But if these were
"common," 6m would have no particular charm for thousands of us who know
why it's called, "The Magic Band."
