The best antenna is the one that gets out and receives the best..
Some of the better 6M antennas I've seen are home brew & similar to the
many loop or hoop designs (Like the M2 HO Loop), not that Yagi's or
beam type antennas don't reap rewards.
Even if one can afford multi-thousand dollar, state of the art radios,
if the antenna will not transmit a signal further than the neighbor's TV
set, or is deaf in receive department, can work counter to the cause of
engineers and technicians making the transceivers..
This from one who is stuck with a mobile installation due to being an
apartment dweller with no exterior antenna..!
