[SixClub] Question on Amplifier

Yes, if you download my construction article I think you'll see every single part is commonly available and not expensive except for the tube itself (which can be found as a pull for $100) and the high voltage transformer.

Let me know if you need a copy of the article, it was in July 1985 73 Magazine, entitled, "Build the Six Meter Block Buster." I can send it to you if you wish.

You will need to find a tube (not hard to find) as well as an HV transformer (I might have one that will do it for you, but Fair Radio Sales and many other surplus outlets have them).

Well Steve,
Are the parts available to everyone and not everyone wants to build such a
shack warmer.
Is it really that cheap to get all the stuff to build it? I remember
reading QST and some of the
articles about building your own equipment. One of the persons that had
written such articles was a president of a very large and well known
electronics company. He had unlimited resources to draw from. I never had
what he had. I have in the past built all sorts of Amps. finding all the
required parts is a real task at best.
