According to what I read the CME is headed this way (Earth Directed), 
but it's weak. The Aurora alert is for Northern latitudes. That means 
I'd expect the Northern tier of states to possibly see some aurora. 
There's likely to be some HF and VHF propagation enhancement but it's 
some what unpredictable.   I'd not expect any major 6-meter openings, 
but these things can surprise you.

At the least point those beams North and listen for the Auroral buzz. 
I've worked Alaska, Japan, but no Europeans on Au.  CW is more effective 
(and much easier to understand than SSB) and you can work stations that 
are right down in the noise. Actually stations that are no stronger than 
the noise. They sometimes just show up as a change in the sound of that 
background noise.
