I've been planning on ordering a 5000MP within the next few weeks if the
market doesn't tank. I'm well ahead of where it was before it tanked
last time.. I just hope no stop losses kicked in over the week end. <:-))

I don't know if it will go with the station in the shop, or here in the
den. I changed my mind about selling the 76A and think I will rebuild
it for six. A new transformer rated at least 2.5KVA and a higher voltage
for either a pair of 3CPX800s or a single 8877. That will mean a new
rectifier stack, capacitors, and soft start. I'd like to replace the
front panel and use a solid state metering system along with a control
board. It's not cheap but it's a whale of a lot less than a new Alpha
or Emtron amp for six.

Due to lack of time ...and age...I fly so seldom any more that the Deb
is going to go up for sale. It'll be like losing a family member, but
at 15 to 20 hours a year (which I love) the cost per hour is pretty
pricey. Just insurance and hangar rent put the price per hour "right
up there" and with my experience and ratings my insurance is cheap for a
high performance, complex, retract. I forgot having to have the ramp
plowed out once or twice a week at about $50 a shot and right now we
have about 14 to 16" on the ground. That's the most I've seen in years
and here we are with the "big one" coming in tonight, but unlike to the
South of us where they are looking for1 to 3" per hour for a total of
15" along with 30 mph plus winds (blizzard conditions forecast) we are
only looking at 6 to 10", but still windy and cold.
All the counties bordering us on the South have blizzard warnings out.

check http://www.wnem.com/imap/index.html click on Weather in the header
and "interactive map" on the drop down menu. Pretty impressive weather
display when opened to full screen. You can look at the weather right
down to the street level.
