[SixClub] DXCC RTTY award changes to Digital

More great news on top of the debt debacle and the stock market gutting itself today!!! 

I spend better part of a year finishing up getting confirmations for RTTY DXCC (finished with number 101 last week) and then ARRL goes and changes it to some generic title before I apply. So now no one can tell if you did it via RTTY, PSK31 or some other weird digital mode. So much for applying for a RTTY DXCC award. I guess I'll save my fees since I wanted the TRADITIONAL award that says RTTY not DIGITAL!!

On the bright side, had a really good opening to KL7 last night and I finally bagged Alaska for state number 47 on 6M. Guess I better hurry up and finish before ARRL changes that award to say something else silly!!

In accordance with Minute 29 of the July 2011 ARRL Board of Directors meeting, the DXCC award for RTTY is now changed to Digital.

 

Digital will now replace RTTY on these certificates effective July 25, 2011.
