And yet it appeared as a blurb on Yahoo!  Interesting video but the part about freehanding got me.  Highest I ever did was 878 ft and I had a safety belt the hold time.

Freehanded climb is permitted ONLY when it is necessary and hookup is not
viable (like going over an ice bridge or antenna they cannot get
around)...otherwise, you use a climbing/safety fall line (mounted on shorter
towers and water towers in a lot of places) or have two contacts (hooks,
etc) at all time.....feet and hands don't count....The engineer who runs a
local tank inspection company confirmed that...OSHA says thou shall hook up

The guys who climbed Empire State Bldg on one of the cable channels worked
for ERI (a well known broadcast antenna builder)...they stated they had to
be hooked except for the ice bridge which sticks out 3 feet from
center..they HAD to go freehand then...and this was at midnight too!!
