I'm back to both the 897D and 7000 for back up and Go-Kit rigs, but
dislike menu driven rigs with a passion. That might be why I much
prefer to use both of them through Ham Radio Deluxe on the computers.
Unfortunately I don't have a good laptop to use them portable.

It was mid to late October when we stayed in the "big hotel" right on
the beach for over a week (company paid the bill ). I had just spent a
full week, working at the Carrollton plant and then another week of
seminars at Key West. Two weeks straight of programming, theory, and
development and I was ready to get back to work for a rest where I only
was working 10 to 12 hours a day. <:-))

I had gone from cold Michigan to Carrollton KY where the fall colors
were at their peak, to Key West which was in the mid 80s, and back to
Michigan which was COLD!

73 and hope you are enjoying the warm weather.
