I live in Michigan. In the months when I'm most active I can use all the 
heat in the shop (or house) I can get. I just think of that as an active 
and extra useful space heater. I had 3 of them in the "all electric 
house" I built in 66.  Three, 4600 watt wall heaters. I told the power 
company they needed to replace the temporary pole transformer used while 
we were building, but they insisted it was big enough.  Burned it to a 
crisp...in the winter. Almost 14KVA continuous was a tad much for a 4 or 
6 KVA unit.
