The power supply is the biggest factor. The GI7B is rated for max of 2500v
at 600mA on the plate. I know guys that have pushed it to the max and can
make 600w but I doubt tube life would be that great.
I can get 500w out of mine without a lot of drive, but guys running this
tube at lower plate voltages can too with more drive. I wanted the drive to
be as small as possible, so the radio isn't doing much of the work. Whats
the point of having the radio running 100w? What I have works so im happy!
