For those using Alinco DX-70's on 6 here is an
interesting exchange on the DX70 list:

I use my DX-70TH for mobile digital comm.  Have a Acer
netbook and a Donner interface that work beautifully with
it.  I've set the audio levels to result in about 35w out.
Use this configuration for emergency comms and just for fun
when on the road (but not driving).
