I have a set myself of WACOM WP-604Ds (Not sure why they have a C range..that was for 40-45 MHz!). The 604s are 8in cans; BpBR design....Yet my D range models wont tune into 6 for some reason..
AND if you are running legacy equipment like a MASTR II or MICOR, etc with a Noise Blanker/Extender, etc, you cannot do that in a signel site rptr, especially with a duplexer...split site is the best way to go on 6m rptrs...jus get 2 GEs, one of Lowabdn and one on UHF...swap the transmitter or receiver side (depending on the make of the GE..a MVP is easier to swap the rcvr deck into a EXEC II..but with two EXEC IIs, tis easier to move the exciter and PA decks..same with the MASTR II..I prefer flat audio which requires a FM-ICOM in the link transmitter and the MASTR II main transmitter (or you can FM a EXECII/MVP which works nicely..jus be sure to add limiting and a splatter filter to keep the bandwidth legal and adjacent channel users happy !)
A GE Delta S or Midland STI or STII uses a different NB configuration and will work in a duplexed situation...also the newer Motorola 1225s I think will as well...but the older rock bound legacy models call for the NB to be turned around 2-5MHz off the main channel...a BpBr duplexer will kill it as the attenuation would be high on the NB freq....a Br (Notch) only duplexer will allow the white noise to kill the NB in that modew
