I had one of those too.<:-)) Nary a moments trouble, except figuring out
how to hook up one of the little Yaesu FT897D's 1KW on 160-10 and you
sure it won't do about 800 on six? <:-)) The auto band switching and no
tune was great although with the operation here I needed an auto tuner.
There are times when doing a lot of band changing I wish I had it back.
It ran cool, quite, appeared well designed, and like much of that
equipment had a professional looking appearance. Thanks for the note

Now it would be handy, but you could purchase a tube type amp that'll do
the legal limit plus *substantial* overhead all day long for half that.
Now down on tower talk they may appreciate the idea of it running a
setppIR antenna, but I wonder if that's the same output that drives an
auto tuner which is almost essential if you move around much while
operating 160, 75, and 40.
