[SixClub] 6 Meter Receive

I'd say it depends a lot on the antennas used and the distance between
them.
I can run 1500W on HF and listen with "full sensitivity" and no
interference at all on 50.125 simultaneously, using beams on the same
tower! Not so sure about doing the same while listening on 28.400;
probably a worst case situation would be transmitting at or near 14.200
while trying to monitor 28.400 -- almost guaranteed not to work.

Over the weekend I traded my Ameritron AL-811 Amplifier for an Icom
IC-706.
I plan to dedicate it to scanning 50.125 & 28.400 24/7 so might be able
to
not miss band openings. Will I need to install Band Pass filtering to
keep
from overloading the 706 front end when on the air with my FT-950 on
other
HF bands?
Yours in the Hobby,
